COUNCILMAN KEN GORDON ENDORSES
WILLINGBORO'S FUTURE CANDIDATES
Councilman Ken Gordon announced today his endorsement of Willingboro's Future Council candidates Linda Murray, Charles Smiley and Craig Donechie.
"I am confident Linda, Charles and Craig will fight for issues the residents of Willingboro care most about," said Gordon. "We are faced with the most challenging time in our nation's history. We must have leaders that can create and articulate a go-forward strategy, which will result in lower taxes, increased ratables and a better quality of life.
Councilman Ken Gordon was the first local elected official to self-impose a 50% pay cut, carrying through on his campaign promise, to donate 50% of his council salary to a community reinvestment fund to support local community-based organizations and to utilize a portion of his council salary to pay to have the grass at vacant properties cut.
"Councilman Gordon serves as a mentor and inspiration to all who aspire to public service," said Council candidate Linda Murray. "I have personally seen him work tirelessly to ensure the citizenry is represented and their voices are heard. I pledge to follow in those footsteps, once elected."
"Councilman Gordon is a person that can be pointed to that has reinvigorated the energy and passion of the Willingboro community," stated Council candidate Charles Smiley. "I am also proud to work with a true advocate of the people - a man who speaks truth to power and stands for the people, even when his stand will put him in the line of fire."
"I am absolutely thrilled to have the endorsement of Councilman Gordon," said Council candidate Craig Donechie. "It is a true honor to be endorsed by a man of his stature. We can and should all aspire to strive to achieve his 'never be satisfied' work ethic to meet the wants and needs of the people of Willingboro."
"This election is not personal, it is about who will represent the people of Willingboro for the next
10 - 20 years," said Gordon. "We must start today, planning for tomorrow. While we appreciate the contributions of current and past Council people, we must begin succession planning and we must govern with an eye to the future and to electing officials that can represent us for the next 10 - 20 years. The Willingboro's Future ticket is positioned to do just that."

Former Willingboro Mayor Jeff Ramsey announces his endorsement of Willingboro's Future Council Candidates
Linda Murray, Charles Smiley and Craig Donechie; agrees to serve as campaign manager
Former Willingboro Mayor Jeff Ramsey announced today his endorsement of Willingboro's Future Council candidates Linda Murray, Charles Smiley and Craig Donechie. It was also announced that Mr. Ramsey will serve as their campaign manager.
"Linda, Charles and Craig have demonstrated their clear commitment to progressive values," said Ramsey. "They are energetic and hard-working. They have demonstrated that real change comes not from the top-down, but from the bottom-up, and that's why I agreed to serve as their campaign manager."
"It's hard to think of a better person than Mr. Ramsey to have the support of," said Council candidate Linda Murray. "He has endorsed candidates in the past and all were successful in their bids for election. We believe his leadership and counsel will help guide us to a resounding win."
"In choosing a campaign manager we knew we needed a person who will bring strong leadership and vision to our plan for the future of Willingboro," stated Council candidate Charles Smiley. "We found that in Jeff Ramsey - a former Mayor who can provide insight into the wants and needs of the Willingboro community."
"Mr. Ramsey served the people of this community for over 15 years as Council and as Mayor. He was not afraid to embody democratic values and was a champion of the people. There is no one I would rather work with as our campaign manager than an elected official that has served as Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councilman and State Party Representative," said Council candidate Craig Donechie. "He knows Willingboro. He knows how to win. He knows how to govern. We couldn't be more honored."
"I have always lived by the motto that some time you just have to say it's time to move over and the let the next generation take over with new ideas," said Ramsey. "It is my belief that these three candidates can re-establish the lost connection between the people and their elected officials, and put our Council back on course to be a positive force in the Willingboro community."
